ProsePoint forgets my password

Hi,
Every time I try to sign in I have to request a new password.

I have the same problem, and I suspect that everyone does. Whenever I try to login to the forums here, the site rejects my userid/password with the error message:
"Sorry, unrecognized username or password. Have you forgotten your password?"
So I have to click on Request New Password to receive an email containing a link with a one-time password, click on the link, and reenter my password in the Reset Password form that comes up. This is a bit frustrating.

I don't really know. I've checked the site logs and confirmed that you and the original poster have been using one-time login links, but lots of other people haven't and are logging in normally. I've tested this myself by logging out and logging back in, and it works.
Not sure ....
Can you tell me something? When you log in, what is the url of the page that you are using to login? It should be http://www.prosepoint.org/user/login or something similar.
when I followed the emailed link to read your reply, and clicked on reply, I was at this login page (which also failed to recognize my password so I had to again do the request new password thing, get the reset email, etc.):
http://www.prosepoint.org/user/login?destination=comment/reply/129%2523c...
I'll log out and come back with the url I get when trying to log in from the main page.

I know that my password stored by ProsePoint is what I think it is, because I enter the same password to confirm it on the user account edit page that comes up when I log in with a one-time password received via email. I do not have to reenter my password twice, just once to confirm it's the same as the one the site already has stored.
I hope that helps...

Hi,
Request New Password doesn't actually generate a new password. If you've been logging in by clicking on that all the time, it doesn't change your password for you. Request New Password just sends you an email with a one-time login link. After you log in, you still have to change your password.
Or have I misunderstood your question?
