images from future editions are present in the image gallery
Hi,
The issue that im seeing and wondering if it is possible to disable is images that are attached to stories that are scheduled for publication in future editions are appearing in the current image galery.
http://demo.prosepoint.org/image_gallery
I added a new story to the demo site:
http://demo.prosepoint.org/story/test-story-image
Which contains an uploaded image. Then added the story to a new edition set to become the current edition in 2010.
The story needs to be 'Published' in order for it to be added to the edition, but shouldnt the associated images also wait until 2010 before becoming visible in the galery?
Thanks

thanks for that.
Clears up that it is not a setting that i should have checked.
Another way to do it could be to have a setting before 'published' that is something like 'set for publication' and when the 'Next Issue' becomes the 'Current Issue' it chages the status of the 'set for publication' image nodes to 'published'
whatever way you decide to do it im sure will work.
Cheers

Hi,
You are right, images are shown in the gallery immediately. There's no 'scheduling' involved for the image gallery.
Your idea has merit, and I'll consider it as a future prospective feature. At the moment, I don't think it's achieveable in any straightforward way because of the way images and the image gallery are coded.
