Hi!

Is it possible to put a list of teasers for a channel under an edition for new content? E.g. if I have one edition by month and I want new daily content to be under the edition. (Can composite layout (e.g.editions) be inside one another?)

If I have a hierarchy of : Super-Channels/Channels/Sub-Channels Is it possible for the superchannel in the reverse chronological story listing mode to list nodes of channels and subchannels? And channels listing sub-channels?

Thx.

We didn't design for this use case, but I think the existing features are flexible enough that you might be able to do this.

If you want a separate listing of recent stories for a channel, you can show a Channel block (or Channel sub-block) in your edition's composite layout. Then configure the channel block to show a reverse chronological story listing (as teasers) and that should automatically display the new stories of that channel.

You can do the same thing with a Channel sub-block. The only difference between a Channel block and a Channel sub-block is that a Channel block is global for a site, while a Channel sub-block is local only for an edition.

Not really. We designed ProsePoint so stories which are part of a child channel aren't automatically part of the parent channel (ie. you might have some stories which you don't want to appear on your frontpage).

However, when you edit a story, you can select multiple channels (press Ctrl and click) so you can choose to place a story in a parent channel further up the hierarchy if you want. I hope this lets you do what you're doing?

I will try it.

It's true for the front page, but the site has a hierarchy like regions/cities and I would like to have everything posted in the subchannels cities to be in the corresponding region channel.  Could it be possible to do it whit views?

Can a story appear in an edition if it's not from the same channel?

Thx.

Not at the moment.

Not at the moment. If you list a story in an edition, that story will be added to that edition's channel (if it wasn't already part of it). The reason for this is so that the story appears in that channel's RSS feed.
