I installed prosepoint 0.21 on my test and production sites and it works without any problems so far.  however i was trying to create two new workflow states under the new "workflow" workflow  (this might get confusing soon) but the new states did not show up on a story.  I was going to add "edited once" and "edited twice" as workflow state after "ready for review" because we have two editors at the magazine.  However, after adding those states to workflow, nothing happened.

Is there something else I have to do in order to get workflow states working?  I feel as if I should be setting more stuff up, like defining what exactly those workflow states are for.

edite:  OH RIGHT i have to edit the workflow "workflow" itself, and set a dizzying array of permissions.  Right.  ill get on that

Hmmm ... yes, once you add a few more states, the configuration table gets quite wide. Not sure there's much I can do about that straight away though.

However, I can suggest a way to make things a little bit easier. Visit .../admin/build/themes and enable the theme Bluemarine. Then, when you need to edit the Workflow configuration table, edit your user account and change your theme temporarily to Bluemarine.

If I remember correctly, Bluemarine is relatively liquid, so the content area will expand to accommodate the table as necessary.
