Hey, Could anyone direct me to a tutorial about installing prosepoint on a hosting service? I am a noob when it comes to web servers but can handle *nix CLI. I am actually trying to install it on a DreamHost free account with drupal installed. Or is there a free webhosting service which offers prosepoint pre-installed

If I create the database & copy the files to the ROOT then what happens if someone type my address in a browser?

If the site hasn't been
If the site hasn't been installed yet, they will be shown an installation page which asks for database credentials.
If the site has already been installed, they will be shown the site.

I presume you've already looked at the sample installation in the user guide.
Installing onto shared hosting is similar. In most cases, you have to uncompress the package on your local computer and then upload the files by FTP.
The hosting control panel should have a feature which lets you create a database and/or a program called phpMyAdmin which lets you into MySQL.
