Channel Sub-block teaser/title combo display

There's something that I've been thinking about, which is to combine the teaser and title display of each channel sub-block.  You can set this up manually with existing options, but I'd like to have the option for it to be set up automatically.

I'd like to have the first story of each channel sub-block displayed as  teaser, and the rest of the stories in the channel sub-block be displayed as titles only.
