My current host can not handle traffic of more than about 100 visitors a month!  As I am putting up a newspaper for a community, my expectations are way way higher than that.

Do any of you have suggestions for good hosts that are reasonably priced in the States?

Also interested in locating ProsePoint developers/users in the Chicago area.

Hi,

I'm seriously surprised they say they cannot handle more than 100 visitors a month. That's like ... um, 3 visitors a day? Sounds rather suspicious to me :)

Anyway...

I haven't used shared hosting for a very long time (I run my own servers) so I'm not really in an position to make any informed comments. Plus, I'm trying to keep ProsePoint vendor neutral when it comes to other hosting providers. So, I don't really have any recommendations.

You could, however, start, by visiting http://drupal.org/hosting and/or lurking around the Drupal forums to get ideas.

As for local Chicago people ... sorry, I don't know of any. Perhaps if they could identify themselves?
