The publisher of the newspaper I am building a site for has asked if it is possible to set up ProsePoint so that selected stories (perhaps based on editions) are available only to registered subscribers. Can this be done with the standard permissions, or is this a new feature request?

Not out of the box.

Hi,

You won't be able to do this out of the box with ProsePoint, at least not without radically modifying it. So, for an integrated approach, it would be a new feature request. If you or your client urgently need this, you could consider sponsoring it to fast track its implementation.

If not, and/or you are feeling a bit adventurous, you could try Drupal's Taxonomy Access Control (http://drupal.org/project/taxonomy_access) module but the ProsePoint compatible version (Drupal 6.x) is still in development so I don't know how well it will perform.

ProsePoint 0.21

ProsePoint 0.21 has been released. It now uses Drupal's Workflow module, and there is a new state Private which restricts selected nodes to logged in users. Of course, you can configure it further to suit yourself.

This is partial support for a paywall, but I'm not sure it's all of it. Please have a look and let me know what you think.
