Edition Confusion
Hi,
Presently, out of the box, I don't think so. ProsePoint doesn't do any configuration for Blog nodes. Sorry.
I think you had another thread with a similar vein. If you are willing to tackle advanced settings, you could alter some story_view to also include Blog nodes in addition to Story nodes.
This is an interesting question. As a matter of interest, why do you need to continually create new editions?
Why not just update the current edition?
As it happens, this is very easy to do and can even be mostly automated if stories & pictures are being injected from some other source, as would seem to be the case in most newspaper production workflows.
You probably don't have to use the Prosepoint editions/channels stuff at all though - with use of the standard views & panels modules you could concoct your own way of doing things, but retaining the Prosepoint bits for the story info & picture embedding/captions, etc.
Effectively, yes. If you install the panels module, you can create panels(!) to display whatever you want, and then place them within the zones of an edition. Then, editions & channels etc. although still there, effectively become redundant. Classification of stories etc. can be done with standard taxonomy settings, upon which channels rest anyway.
Or, you could just use one edition for everything and update it as required.

Hi,
For those channels which you don't need composite layout or fine tuning of how stories appear, you can change the channel to Story Listing mode. Then the channel just presents a flat, reverse chronological listing of stories ... a bit like a blog.
To change the channel's mode, visit .../admin/content/channels on your site, find the channel of interest, and click edit.
For channels using editions, you can use Channel Sub-blocks to show stories from sub- or other channels using predefined criteria.
With these two, you should be able to reduce your edition creation to just a few a day.
