Any way to Control Front Page Alignment?

Is there anyway to align story images appearing on the front page other than align-left? I place an image right-aligned, but it appears left aligned. I'd also sometimes like to be display the hed to the left, below or above the front page image.

Hi,

The alignment of story images is controlled by css. Unfortunately, it is currently a global setting so it affects all story nodes similarly. Sorry.
