How to Fix Double-Menu Problem?

I currently have two menus in the navigation region: one that I want and one I can't seem to get rid of. I viewed the frontpage source and it said the original menu is with the "primary" div. But when I comment-out that div (and clear the cache) the menu remains. The Nice Menu module appears right below that div. What I want to do is put the nice menu in the "primary" div, inheriting the original menu's styling. How can I do this?
