Multiple Suckefish Menus Visibility and Editions Visibility

Hello Everyone,
I am attempting to use multiple suckerfish menus for different channels. The different suckerfish blocks are visible at the channel level, but at the story level it disappears even though the stories belong to that particular channel. What is the way to ensure that a suckerfish menu is visible all the way down to the story level.
Second issue is whether it is possible to display an edition within the channel when a link goes direcly to a channel. At this time, I link directly to an edition, but I want to be able to go to a channel and its editon be visible. Thanks.

Hi Beng,
As for themes, i am using newswire.
http://www.xbrunette.com/xbrunette/hair-care this link goes to a sub channel for which i have set up an edition, which is now a past edition, and it is not visible. Thanks
Zarrar

Topic 1:
I think using suckerfish menus with Newswire requires setting all your non-leaf menu entries to be expanded. It's a bit of a kludge, but it's probably the quickest way to fix your issue.
Visit .../admin/build/menu/list, select the menu of interest, and then set all menu entries to be Expanded.
Topic 2:
Can you check your channel is in scheduled editions mode, and not story listing mode?
To find out, visit .../admin/content/channels and edit your channel of interest to see.

Beng,
Success, the editons being default to the channel worked beautifully. The suckerfish menu still wont appear at the story level. Thanks for the above, big help and definitely changes everything for me. Cheers.

Hi,
I have three suckerfish menu blocks, more need to be added later. But, of the three, only the top two are visible in their respective channels. I need only one block to be visible at a time. When i change the order, again, only the top two are visible. Worst case scenario, i'll just have to separate the sites from a single code install, and not always the best route to take.
Also, could you please provide instructions on setting up a multisite, with one installation of PP, and multiple URLs pointing to their own respective channels, having their own modules, and suckerfish menus. Thanks for your help.

Hi Zarrar,
Sorry, but at the moment, ProsePoint doesn't support running multiple websites off a single shared database (which is what sharing of content across sites would require).
I'm aware it is possible to do this with Drupal under certain conditions with certain Drupal modules (and hence it may also generalise to ProsePoint) but I don't know the details and pros and cons of those approaches so I don't want to make any statements if they are not backed up by testing and first-hand experience.
ProsePoint supports running multiple websites off a single codebase (using multiple databases, one per site), but not off a single shared database.
If you really must have multiple sites based upon a shared database, please file a separate feature requst on the Wishlists forum. If there is enough demand for it, I'll look into it but otherwise I can't make any promises.

Hi Beng,
The above response sounds good. In this scenario, to what extent is the codebase shared, and how does it handle menus for each site. Can you provide a quickstart guide to making this work, that would be ideal, if you could outline the steps required to do this Your input is greatly appreciated.

Have a look at Setup of /sites directory for multi-site.
It was written for Drupal 5.x, but applies equally well to ProsePoint (which is based on Drupal 6.x)

The first topic is difficult for me to answer because I don't know what you are using to create your Suckerfish menus, and I'm also not certain whether you are still using the default theme.
The second topic ... if your channel is operating in scheduled editions mode (you might want to confirm this), it should already link directly to a page which shows the latest edition of a channel.
Can you provide an example of a 'link that goes directly to a channel'?
