Hi

I'm using the tma_custom file.

I've made jpg images in iPhoto that are 965X70 (which appears to be the dimensions of the existing jps).

However, when I load those images in, only a portion of the photo appears in the header, i.e. -- the image is a close up of a section of the image, not the whole image.

(See: www.localhealthguide.net ... the image is supposed to show the Space Needle, the sea, etc.)

What am I doing wrong?

Best,

header

Hi,

I've used tma many times before switching to a different theme.  This happened to me once, and the cause was the DPI resolution of the image being more than 72.  Hopefully this helps.

Hi,

THis is the picture that represents your header, when you look at the actual size of it by zooming into it, it is far larger than 965x70.  You may need to cut the picture to the exact dimensions you need. And then still the check the dpi.  Cheers.

Your header image size is not correct

Hi,

Yes, your header images are not the right size. They are not small enough. Please double check the size of the images.

I use iPhoto
When I export from iPhoto - I get a choice of image size. Should I just experiment with those to see if there's one that fits? Or is there a more sophisticated way of doing this?
Thanks, M

Hi, I have not iused iPhoto,

Hi,
I have not iused iPhoto, but the objective is to scale the image to the dimensions you need.  Sizing depends on the scale ratio. If the ratio is off, the scale wont work.  Best bet, create a new blank image of the size you want, and then paste the image as an object into it, and just work within that constraint.  I dont know if iPhoto  will do that or not.  Also, you may want to try the following online image editor.

Image ratio
The above link for the online image editor does scale down your image perfectly, with one pixel off on the height, whereas instead of being 70px, it is 69 . Good Luck.
