Hi,

I am trying to use FeedAPI in my prosepoint installation. Once I create a feed node, I don't know how to get my feed stories onto my channels. When I install prosepoint with the minimal settings, I get three channels on my site: National, MyMagazine, Blog. I cannot figure out how to get my feed node stories to show up in the channels. Can anybody help me out?

thanks in advance

Hi,

Sorry about the delay in replying. I've never even used the Drupal module FeedAPI until a few days ago when I was doing something unrelated.

At the moment, there is an incompatibility between FeedAPI and the Extended Status field of story nodes in ProsePoint. This causes FeedAPI to silently fail to create story nodes from feeds (and is something that should be looked at eventually).

However, if that were to be resolved, you can get FeedAPI to automatically assign stories to channels by mapping tags in the RSS data into taxonomy terms (because channels are just a special case of taxonomy). You may need the Feed Element Mapper module for this though.

Overall, ProsePoint isn't quite ready to be used with FeedAPI yet. People with developer skills might be able to hack it to work but they are on their own, and we don't support it.
