Installing ProsePoint

Hello,

I am trying to get ProsePoint 0.40 installed as a profile under Drupal 7.8.  It is currently on a Mac 10.5.8 server.  I have a separate virtual host on the Mac Server using the entire bundled Drupal/Prosepoint installational working fine.  I wanted to have a common Drupal core if possible.

I have moved the Prosepoint profile into the Drupal 7.8 profile and setup the additional sites files.  When running the installation, I only get the standard Drupal installation screens, not the ones I expect from Prosepoint.

I'm a freelance journalist turned editor trying to set up ProsePoint (ie not a programmer). I've managed to get WAMP2 set up and running (much sweat and tears). Also have a little experience with CMS (GetSimple). Could someone please tell me whether Installing PP is a matter of placing it in the www section of my wamp folder and doing some tweaking, or is this going to be another steep learning curve for me? I'm running mySQL 5.1.36, Apache 2.2.11, PHP 5.3.0 in Firefox 3.6.17 on a Windows 7 machine if this helps. Thanks.

I'm not a drupal or php developer and would like to migrate some articles, author content, etc into ProsePoint. It's currently in a SqlServer Databse but culd be exported to a variety of formats.

So how are people moving their content from other proprietary cms's into ProsePoint? Would appreciate any guidance.

Hello all. Trying to install ProsePoint and not having much luck. I'm getting stuck at the "Clean URLs" point, and the option to enable them is not available.

GoDaddy uses Apache and clean URLs are enabled. I even tried changing the .htaccess code to comment out the "Rewrite /" code, which apparently works for some people.

Is there a way to disable the requirement for clean urls, and then enable them in the Drupal administration module?

I installed ProsePoint on my server this morning.  The installation was complete with no issues, and I received no errors after install.  However, the CSS and images are not showing up on the newly installed site.

I checked that the sites/default/files/ folder exists and has the correct permissions, and everything seems to be fine there.

The only other piece of info that may be related is that my host had to comment out the:

Options +FollowSymLinks

Can anyone guide me through thestep by step process of installing ProsePoint on my Mac once I have downloaded the files? Can't figure it out!

I got this error msg after installation

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 77 bytes) in /home/africaun/public_html/prosepoint-0.37/includes/menu.inc on line 2331

Having a problem installing.  Would help if I could figure out where to place the prose point directory?  Should it be under the Drupal directory, or Drupal themes, or in the site root?   If in the root do I set up a new data base and if so where do I configure it?   If in the Drupal or Drupal themes folder does it use the Drupal database?

I'm trying to install ProsePoint 0.37 in my hosting server but  I'm getting this message:

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /hosting/www/codificacionweb.com/public/ProsePointRoot/includes/file.inc on line 934

Server: Apache/Unix + PHP 5.2

Later I tried to install in my PC (local) (Windows XP+ Apache+PHP 5.2+MySQL 5.1) and I had the same error. The only difference is quantity of seconds: 60 seconds.

I'm new here, my name is Luis. I tried dowloading the 0.35 but is not dowloading anything from the link. All I get is a file downloading then winzip tries to open, when I extract is no thing there, it says error zero files.
